Start GPS Tuner and make sure that your PDA can reach the internet (via Wi-Fi or GPRS/3G)

Open the Map Settings window by tapping the Map icon and select an online map type (Google Map, Google Sat, Terra Topo, Terra Sat or Terra Urban)

You are also able to use the icon for changing map type.
Push the button and check the selected map type in the top
right corner util you get the right one.
GPS Tuner will give you 5 sec to change your currently selected
type to a new one before starting to download the image.

Depending on your selected map type and network speed, GPS Tuner will get the
image data within 5-15 sec and display it.

We suggest you to enable the Autoselect function from Map Settings or using the Autoselect button on Map Window. This case GPS Tuner will automatically download a new image fragment your Map Window center is out of current map or
you Zoom In/Out.

Please note that the TerraServer images cover the US region only.

Start Map Calibrator

Select a region on your image map (on the default World map or on your own map)

Press the Earth icon and select a map type

Map Calibrator will download the map image with the same center point and the best match zoom level from your selected source.

You do not have to calibrate the map, because Map Calibrator auto-calibrates it. The only thing you have to do is: Saving the map - this will save the image and calibration file also (and later copy to your PDA)

If you would like to chnage the zoom level and download the map again, just use the Zoom In/Out buttons (or mouse wheel) and then press the map download button again and choose the map type.
Please zoom in, if your "Eye alt" is bigger than 50 km. This case you will get nearly
parellel Latitude/Longitude lines.

Press the "Reset North" button to orient your map to North

Set map view into Fullscreen (F11 button) and save image file by selecting File/Save/Save Image... command

Start Map Calibrator and open the saved image

Calibrate map by using Google Earth's position data.
Open saved map image file
Map image will be loaded
Set the coordinate format: d m ss
Add at least two calibration points by tap & hold over a position
Fill the coordinates according to Google Earth's position values
Make sure that your Calibration Points are far from each other

Open track or waypoint GPX file (if you have) to check your calibration

Save your calibration

Upload the map and calibration file to your PDA and check the result

Save track/waypoint/area as KML file (Manager/Save)

Copy KML file onto your PC and double click onto the KML file. This will launch
Google Earth application and load your track/waypoint/area file.
