A: Yes, all users who has GPS Tuner v5.x can use the old version anytime as before.

Q: I have sold my old Pocket PC and got a new one. Can I transfer my GPS Tuner license?
A: Until limited number of PDA changing/replacing (1 or 2 within one year) we can accept your re-registration request. This case you will not able to use/upgrade GPS Tuner on your old PDA.

Installing

Q: How can I install Trial version of GPS Tuner 6 to my PDA?
A: Please follow these steps:

1) Register with a valid email address and login at: http://www.gpstuner.com/en/my_gps_tuner
2) Download Map Tuner at: http://www.gpstuner.com/en/my_gps_tuner/trial_download
3) Install Map Tuner to your Desktop PC
4) Start Map Tuner
5) Select 'Install/Upgrade' button
6) Enter your GPS Tuner login name and password (which you have entered in step 1)
7) Connect your PDA to the Destop PC via ActiveSync
8) Choose Next and wait while Map Tuner is downloading and installing GPS Tuner Trial into your device
9) After GPS Tuner installation please select the 'Base Map' button to upload a sample map area to your PDA
10) Select an area (green dot) from the map and choose the next button to download the map fragment and upload it to your PDA
11) Start GPS Tuner on your PDA

Q: How can I install the Full version of GPS Tuner 6 after purchasing the product?
A: You can install GPS Tuner 6 Full with Map Tuner. Please follow these steps:

1) Register with a valid email address and login at: http://www.gpstuner.com/en/my_gps_tuner
2) Download Map Tuner at: http://www.gpstuner.com/en/my_gps_tuner/trial_download
3) Install Map Tuner to your Desktop PC
4) Start Map Tuner
5) Select 'Register License' button and enter your license code, which you have bought (like XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX). You should enter your GPS Tuner login name and password (which you have entered in step 1) also.
6) Select 'Install/Upgrade' button
7) Connect your PDA to the Destop PC via ActiveSync
8) Select your License from the list
9) Choose Next and wait while Map Tuner is downloading and installing GPS Tuner into your device
10) After GPS Tuner installation please select the 'Base Map' button to upload a sample map area to your PDA
11) Select an area from the list (or paint an area on the map) and choose the next button to download the map content and upload it to your PDA
12) Start GPS Tuner on your PDA

Q: How can I uninstall GPS Tuner from PDA?
A: You can uninstall it from Map Tuner by selecting the 'Uninstall' button.

Q: How can I upload new map region to my PDA?
A: You should use Map Tuner/Base Map option to select a new region and upload it to your PDA

Q: Can I create Custom Map with GPS Tuner 6 - similar to GPS Tuner 5.x?
A: Yes, you can create (calibrate) custom raster maps in Map Tuner.

1) Start Map Tuner
2) Select 'My Maps' button
2) Import an image (JPG file)
3) Right click on a point of the map and enter its geographical coordinates
4) Give 3 calibration points
5) Please make sure that your calibration points are not inline
6) Save your map
7) Connect your PDA to the PC
8) Upload your map to your PDA by 'Copy' button
9) Start GPS Tuner
10) You should see a blue icon over the map which represents the position of your custom map

Q: Can I use my maps which has been calibrated by Map Calibrator 2.x?
A: Yes, you can open maps (*.gmi and jpg) with Map Tuner and re-save in the new format.

General usage

Q: How can I save a waypoint?
A: You can save waypoint in your actual position by selecting 'Add New Waypoint' button in Trip Manager.

Q: Where can I find my custom recorded waypoints?
A: Go to Trip Manager/My Points category to your custom waypoints.

Q: Which is the best way to save my whole trip?
A: If you would like to record every detailed information (including satellite status) the best way to record an NMEA log by selecting 'Record Log' button in Trip Manager

Q: How can I load Geocaching file?
A: You can load waypoint data from file by selecting 'Load' button in Trip Manager. Please make sure that 'POI' category is selected during file opening

Q: How can I export my waypoints?
A: Please choose 'Save' function from Trip Manager and make sure that 'My Points' category is selected.

Q: How can I save my tracklog?
A: In default settings GPS Tuner will save your track data automatically into GPS Tuner/Tracks folder in GPX format. If you would like to save track data manually, please choose 'Save' button in Trip Manager and make sure that 'Track' category is selected.

Q: How can I find street names?
A: You can search for streets only in detailed map level (when you see streets on the map).
