Geocache event draws 1,500
Monday, 16 Aug 2010
1,500 geocachers take part in huge geocaching event over the weekend. About 1,500 or so people - some from as far away as Denmark and South Africa - came to Regner Park to join in what might best be described as a high-tech treasure hunt: the third annual $1,000 Cache Ba$h Geocaching Mega-Event.
The event was sponsored by the West Bend Area Chamber of Commerce and is the brainchild of its executive director, Craig P. Farrell, who, if you happened to have a global positioning system, you would have known was sitting N 43° 25.990, W 088° 11.492 as he explained what geocaching is all about.
